Queen Veggie Burger
With Mak Tok’s Satay Chilli Paste
1) Mix the plant-based soy mince with aquafaba, Mak Tok’s Satay Chilli Paste, and salt in a mixing bowl. Once everything is combined, separate the mince into 2 portions and roll them into round balls before gently flatten them into patties.
2) Lightly oil the pan and heat it up. Pan-fry the patties for 6-7 minutes and turn them occasionally. Make sure both sides are fully cooked and nicely browned. Remove from pan.
3) Assemble the Queen Veggie Burger starting with the base of the burger bun, a piece of butterhead lettuce, tomatoes, vegan mayo, burger patty, mango sauce, another piece of butterhead lettuce and the top of the burger bun.
4) Finally, add the broccoli crown on top and serve to the best queen (or king) in the house.
Top tip: If using a ready-made plant-based burger patty, just skip the aquafaba and salt. Add the Mak Tok’s Satay Paste at the end as you would with the vegan mayo and mango sauce.
