With Mak Tok’s Rendang Chilli Paste
1) Marinate the tempeh sticks with Mak Tok’s Rendang Chilli Paste and season with salt. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
2) Taking one stick tempeh stick at a time, dunk it into the cornstarch mixture and coat it with breadcrumbs. Repeat this step again to ensure there is enough breadcrumbs on the tempeh sticks.
3) Add oil into a pan and heat it up. Deep fry the coated tempeh sticks on medium heat for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the tempeh goujons from the pan and allow to cool for 3 minutes.
4) Garnish with chopped coriander and a wedge of lemon.
*Top tip: Use Mak Tok’s Sweet Chilli Paste as a dip for the tempeh goujons.
