Salmon with Miso and Satay Paste
With Mak Tok’s Satay Chilli Paste
1) Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.
2) Heat up a pan and add unsalted butter. Gently place the salmon into the pan with the skin facing down. Turn the heat to medium-low and allow the skin to cook until crispy (usually 7 minutes). Flip the salmon over and turn off the heat. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the salmon to cook with the remaining heat from the pan.
3) In a bowl, mix Mak Tok’s Satay Chilli Paste with miso paste.
4) Assemble the dish by placing the salmon on top of the green beans. Serve the miso satay paste on the side.
Top tip: Sprinkle some dried parsley on top of your salmon for that Michelin star look.
