Sweet Chilli Stir-fry Lotus Roots
With Mak Tok’s Sweet Chilli Paste
1) Add oil to a heated pan. Place lotus roots in the pan and gently stir fry for 3-4 minutes. Remove lotus roots and set aside.
2) Add carrots, celery and garlic to the pan. Turn the heat to high and give it a good stir for 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3) Now, add a splash of water to the heated pan and turn the heat to low. Add Mak Tok’s Sweet Chilli Paste and mix well. Place celery, carrot, garlic and lotus roots into the pan and coat well with the sweet chilli. Season with salt and sugar.
3) Plate it and garnish with sesame seeds.
*Top tip: drizzle with sesame oil for a nutty aroma.
