Chinese Steamed Fish (Trout)

  • 1 tablespoon Mak Tok's Sweet Chilli Paste
  • 500g Trout
  • 150g Carrots (matchsticks)
  • 2 large Tomatoes (cut to quarters)
  • 2 Spring onions (finely sliced)
  • 1/2 inch Ginger (finely sliced into matchsticks)
  • 20g Coriander (roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt


1) Place the fish (trout) on a plate and add the carrots, tomatoes, spring onions, and ginger on and around the fish.

2) Cook the fish in the microwave oven set on high for 7 mins.

3) Once done, remove fish from the microwave oven. Add salt and Mak Tok’s Sweet Chilli Paste before finishing it off with some coriander.
